Death Count Rises In Syrian Refugee Camp

The United Nations has confirmed 15 deaths within the Yarmouk camp in Damascus, Syria. Those residing in the camp are claiming that the death toll is 46 and all are the result of starvation and hunger related illnesses.

In an attempt to send a humanitarian aid convey providing food and medical supplies, the U.N. was forced to retreat after being shot at by the regime’s soldiers. These same soldiers have been holding themselves as blockade from anyone entering Yarmouk for a year now.

The issues going on in Syria are horrifying, and even more so because they actually happening. We ask that you keep those suffering in Yarmouk in your thoughts and hope for someone to intervene and save these innocent people.
